Elves + Labyrinth = ridiculous 80s movies! Wait.
After having put on Liranan's spiked collar and carefully painted kaddis on Liranan -- just in case something terrible happens in the Labyrinth, Ysalwen straps her sword and staff to her back, shoulders her pack, and heads downstairs to pick up Quentin.
Presumably he's already waiting.

There's cash and coins, the cash is kind of damp, but it should work, "I think we'll be fine."

"Well, then. Shall we look upon potential treasures and find something to bring home?"
Better than battle trophies! In a way.

"Some of these people are here for the first time, aren't they? I ask because haggling is an art, and -- no."

There are lots of things to no at, he's currently trying not to stare too much at a group wearing cloth of some sort and he can't figure out if there's anything underneath. Without magic, that's a hard effect to pull off.

She studies the same people Quentin is looking at, ruffling Liranan's ears as she does so.
The illusion of a service dog harness on him helps a lot. Strangely.
"I think it's done with wires? Maybe?"

His question is heard and the group turn towards them and one of them who has a little of the Emcee in their paleness and catlike movement waves. The tips of Quentin's ears go slightly pink.

"I approve of the effect!"
Hopefully she can be heard!
(Zevran would approve.)

"I think that's supposed to be my line," Quentin says with a grin, he's still blushing at his ears, "Um, Fae."
"I like that, can your lovely dog dance, lady?"
no subject
"He can fetch a frisbee with the best of them, sure. But dancing -- it would devolve into play-wrestling incredibly quickly. I'll pass."
She's still laughing, though. And Liranan starts wagging his tail.
She said wrestling!

"I liked them," He laughs and leans against the nearest wall.

"They seemed fun, yes. A little heavy on the innuendo, but I'm used to that by now."

Which Quentin doesn't mind, he just hasn't figured out the best way to deal with it as Toby pretends anything sexual doesn't exist around him.

Ysalwen's smile turns into a grin, one that's extremely fond.
"It's comforting, after all this time."

He asks before heading off to a booth that seems to have sort of armor, there's leather and maybe even some chain mail, but in small quantities.

Her exhale is a little tired.
"Anyway, he likes leather, knives, and pretty things. And me, of course. Saving the world is also something he's become fond of in the last little while. His innuendo game is strong, and he's often funny with it. Is that the sort of thing you wanted to know?"

Sometimes people can, as the saying goes, dish it out but not take it.

He gestures to a differently shiny part of the hall.

"Street vendors are the same everywhere, it seems. Shall we?"

He says with a laugh as they head to the truck.
